This site provides practical information about traditional Ayurveda and specific information about the support that AYURYOGA can provide.

Ayurveda recognizes that we are not all the same. We are each unique and therefore need something different. This is emphasized by identifying and abiding to an Ayurvedic ‘Life-Style’ that is compatible, restorative and corrective for you.

The highest or ultimate goal of Ayurveda and Siddha treatment is to attain absolute detachment of the ‘Atman' or soul. This is the state of liberation or ‘Moksham'. However for practical and commercial purposes this is hardly ever emphasized or practiced. At Ayuryoga, this is our Practitioner's primary emphasis. At the same instance, the body, mind and its equipment are not neglected but brought very much into focus and attention, as it is the only means of realizing the Self or Truth.

How can applying the principles of Ayurveda help me?

By helping you to understand:

  • your unique constitution (Doshas) and how to live correctly according to this uniqueness
  • that certain things suit some while are not suitable for others
  • that “one man's food is another man's poison”
  • how to be selective and able to adapt to the appropriate Life-style activities; be it eating habits, environment/climate/season, job, relationships, exercise, relaxation, hobbies, etc, that are correct for you.
  • the meaning of living a preventative Life-style
  • the cause and nature of dis-eases
  • that there are means to correct and to restore imbalances through a tailor made and individualised treatment program
  • how to live in harmony with respect to yourself, your family, and society

Ayurvedic Consultation and Treatments

Ayuryoga is a comprehensive Ayurvedic treatment centre which offers consultation, treatments, and workshops to help teach the principles of Ayurveda and to restore correct living and harmony to each patient.

Whatever one may be suffering, be it physical, mental, or emotional, it will be looked at individually and uniquely through the Ayurvedic system. A programme is worked out between the practitioner and patient according to the unique imbalances of that individual. Any ongoing support related to their treatment will be tailor-made and customised for each patient.

Consultations include the ancient and subtle use of pulse readings, interview, health history, and observation; thereafter introducing correct Life-style concepts, and temporary treatment procedures such as various kinds of Ayurvedic massages, Ayurvedic herbal preparations, and Yoga therapy. While treatment is temporary, Life-style management continues for the rest of your life.
